About

I am a software developer and hobby photographer. Regardless of what I'm doing, I like to dig deep and learn new things to get more insights and use those to improve. With this website I'm trying to state, sharpen and share my ideas and observations.

After starting to learn HTML and PHP at age 13, I did eventually study computer science which I finished with my master thesis about static code analysis for implementations of Domain Driven Design. I have worked as a freelancer before and during my studies, beginning with some PHP development and website administration.

Later I shifted more to software development in Java with Spring Boot and for Android. During that time I’ve come to value the fundamentals of clean code, TDD and other disciplines of software craftsmanship first hand (sometimes the hard way). After having finished studying in 2017, I moved to Hamburg and began to work as a consultant at Holisticon.

Moving to Hamburg also got me to start doing photography, as it seemed a good way to get to know the town. I quickly joined the Fotowalk Hamburg. There I first got the idea of having a theme in mind when shooting other than capturing whatever was in front my me and “trying to make it look nice”. Since then I started trying to take photographs that convey some kind of meaning or intention.
